Within over 50 years, the entrepreneurial couple Siegfried and Jutta Weishaupt built up a priceless collection of modern and contemporary arts. The collection is housed in the newly built privately owned museum, which has been open to the public since November 2007.
It offers 1280 sqm of exhibition space for thematic exhibitions alternating at regular intervals. Either different artists from the collection are combined or the focus is put on only one artist represented in the collection.
Special exhibition during Advent:
Willi Siber - Cosmos Colour
26.10.2025 - 19.04.2026
Willi Siber (*1949) is not afraid of the new, the unknown, of testing boundaries. He not only plays with visual habits and material expectations, but also with the classic genres of painting and sculpture. For over five decades, the artist has demonstrated enormous Imagination, courage and insatiable curiosity with regard to new technical possibilities and developments in form and pictorial invention. Be it in the filigree grid objects or dynamic steel sculptures, be it in his expansive wall objects or relief panel paintings. Beauty, perfection, (over)sensuality and aesthetics are essential aspects for him.
Whether made of wood, epoxy resin or steel - Willi Siber's works inevitably captivate the viewer, fascinate, surprise and create irritating perceptual situations. The artist gives the surfaces of his works seemingly moist, shiny, seductively tactile and reflective textures that absorb or reflect the light.
The exhibition 'Cosmos Colour' at the kunsthalle weishaupt will highlight the oeuvre of the renowned artist from Upper Swabia in a solo show on two floors from 26 October 2025.
